Sealing conditions of stainless steel ball valve:
To ensure that the stainless steel ball valve meets the specified sealing requirements, the pressure of the medium must be used to push the ball (floating ball valve) or the sealing seat (fixed ball valve) to produce a small displacement, so that the surface of the sealing seat has a certain elastoplastic deformation, forming the necessary sealing pressure. If the seal pressure is too high, the seal seat will be damaged when the seal pressure exceeds the allowable pressure of the material, and the seal will fail. In addition, the operating torque will be increased and the performance will be affected. If it is too low, the elastoplastic deformation on the surface of the seal seat will not be enough to compensate for the machining error of the ball, resulting in the failure of the main seal to meet the required seal requirements.
Stainless steel ball valves generally have reduced diameter and not reduced diameter channel two structures. No matter the type of structure, the flow resistance coefficient of the ball valve is relatively small.
In particular, the so-called full flow type, that is, do not shrink the diameter of the ball valve, because its channel diameter is equal to the pipe diameter, local resistance loss only the same length of the pipe friction resistance, that is, in all valves, the ball valve flow resistance is smaller. In a rocket launch and its test system, the less resistance required to deliver the pipeline, the better.
There are two ways to reduce the resistance of the pipeline system: one is to reduce the flow rate of the fluid, so it is necessary to increase the diameter of the pipe and valve, which often has an adverse effect on the economy of the pipeline system, especially on the low-temperature conveying system (liquid hydrogen).
